Hello ,

I am using a Arria 10 Custom Board, and testing ethernet which is in SGMII mode. I have used a development kit reference design and changed the FPGA(10as066k2f40e1hg).

After building the design, I am testing using Nios II design template of Simple Socket Server .

The Nios II console window shows below output:

Everything looks fine, but i am unable to route / telnet.

I have assigned same gateway and checked subnet mask.

Do i need to include:

marvell_cfg_sgmii((tse[iface].mi.base);

in ins_tse_mac.c  ?

Also what are additional changes for SGMII mode?

Thanks.

Hi,

Simple socket server template and reference design is typically used as it's reference design with min support.

It involved more on system level design which is not easy to debug.

However, if you are able to isolate the issue until TSE IP level then I may be able to help you out further.

  • For instance, can you duplicate issue using TSE IP only to isolate first is this data link or physical layer issue or network layer issue ?
  • Or do you see the data packet flow broken in somewhere ? NIOS -> DMA ? -> TSE -> PHY ?

Thanks.

Regards,

dlim

Another recommendation is to post your questions in rocket board forum.

That's the better community to discuss about SOC system level design issue where you can leverage the help from the right forum community user.
