WinDriver driver development tool and API, which allows the developer to quickly access and diagnose hardware and automatically generate hardware access source code device driver. The resulting code is source-compatible between all major operating systems. WinDriver's Kernel technology enables you to write and debug code at the application level, and later run the same code in the Kernel mode, thereby achieving optimal performance. WinDriver provides extended application programming interfaces (APIs) for Altera PCI Express FPGAs.
WinDriver supports USB, PCI,PCIe , PCI Express, CardBus, CompactPCI, ISA, PMC, PCI-X, PCI-104 and PCMCIA.
Multiple OS support and cross-platform: WinDriver product line supports Windows 10/8.1/Server 2016 /Server 2012 R2/8/Server 2012/7/Server 2008 R2/Vista/Server 2008 /XP,IoT Enterprise, IoT Core, Embedded Windows 8.1/8/7, Windows CE/Mobile, and Linux. The same driver will run under all supported operating systems without any code modifications.
