Hello YamaZahir,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For us to further check this, please help provide the following details:

  1. Can you share the steps on how you updated the driver?
  2. Can you share screenshot or video of the issue?
  3. Is it working before?
  4. What is your OS?

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

I first used the driver&support assistant as i do normally. Then for some reason after its loading the installer it just crashes and it fails.

Also tried downloading the driver myself but that didn't work either. It always crashes after it tries loading as in the picture. This wasn't an issue up until like 2 months ago. Also this is on windows.

Hello YamaZahir,

Thank you for the update

Let me ask additional questions about this issue.

  1. Are you using an Intel brand Arc Graphics?
  2. Can you share a picture of your Arc Graphics unit?
  3. Are you just trying to update the driver? Can you share the link where you downloaded the driver?

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Hello YamaZahir,

Thank you for the update

Have you tried contacting Asrock if they have their own custom driver for your Graphics card?

OEM manufacturer may alter, modify or enhance their product and to enable those enhancements, they may have their own drivers.

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Hello YamaZahir,

Thank you for the update

Here is the latest generic driver for Arc A770. Kindly download it and install it manually. You may run the driver as Administrator to avoid errors during installation if your system needs user privilege's.

Hello YamaZahir,

Can you try these steps. Please follow all the steps specially disconnecting from the internet.

  1. Restart the system.
  2. Uninstall the existing graphics driver.
    1. Disconnect from the internet to make sure the driver will not be automatically updated by Windows.
    2. Go to the Intel Graphics entry in the Device Manager.
    3. Right-click Intel Graphics and click Uninstall.
    4. In the device removal dialog box, check Delete the driver software for this device and click OK.
    5. Restart the computer after the uninstallation is complete.
  3. Install the driver again by downloading the specific driver from Download Center.

Please let us know if you still need assistance.

Hello YamaZahir,

Thank you so much for providing us your SSU.

Please try the following troubleshooting below for a possible solution with the issue:

  1. Uninstall the driver using the Display Driver Uninstaller. Instructions in this article: How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver.
  2. Download the latest intel graphics driver. (instructions in this article, How to Get Zip File Version) of the Intel® Graphics Driver.
  3. Unzip the driver.
  4. Open Device Manager:
  • Right-click the Intel® ArcTM Graphics device from the Display Adapters section. From the drop-down menu, choose Update Driver.
    • Click Browse my computer for drivers.
    • Click Browse, search for, and select the unzipped folder of the driver.
    • Once the driver is installed, restart the computer.

Note: An alternative method to compress files is to utilize the built-in compression functionality provided by Windows, commonly referred to as the 'Compressed (zipped) Folder' feature.

And for further guidance, refer to this article: Exit Code 1: There was a problem repairing your driver in the Intel® ArcTM Graphics article, which outlines the identical steps necessary for the query. A third-party application can also be used to zip the file, such as 7-Zip.

By the way, if you have any questions, please let me know.

Furthermore, please let us know the result of the troubleshooting steps that you are about to perform, since if the issue still persists, we will raise the case with our engineers for further investigation.
