APO - Games Missing in APP

@JedG_Intel
I have games not showing up in APO. I have Cyberpunk 2077 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider not showing in the app.
I'm running a 14900K with the latest drivers and BIOS. The DTT driver is 11703.
What else is needed to get the games to show??

Thank you

Hi mZ68,

Thank you for posting in the communities!

Upon checking on the specs of your system, looks like your processor supports Intel Application Optimization.

You can check this links for your reference:

No worries, I will further check on this issue that you brought up.

Kindly run this on your system so that I can also gauge the following peripherals and the driver versions that you have:

Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*

Once finished downloading, open the tool, click on scan (leave the default items checked), click next, then save the system information to a .txt file. Please provide us the .txt file.

Bonjour,

merci de faire une demande auprès de l’équipe de développement du logiciel APO, vos processeurs en l’état sont loin derrière AMD.

dans l’attente de votre réponse

cordialement

Hi mZ68,

To further investigate this issue, is Intel Application Optimization is available on the BIOS and is it Enabled.

Additionally, can you provide the Intel DTT driver version visible in the Device Manager. For reference, you can check the "How to Enable Intel Application Optimization on MSI Motherboards" article from MSI.

If the driver is outdated, you can download and install the latest version from the MSI website.

Here is the link to the driver: MPG Z790I EDGE WIFI (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z790I-EDGE-WIFI/support#driver)

To download the driver, select "Other Drivers" and look for Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology to download it.

If the issue persists, please inform us.

Yes, it's enabled in the BIOS.
Drivers, I've tried 11405 through 11703 and get the same results. Currently running 11701.

Hi mZ68,

Thank you for patiently waiting.

Even when classified under Advanced Mode in the Intel® Application Optimization List of Games, some games might not be visible in the Intel® Application Optimization user interface. The compatibility and performance enhancement requirements unique to your processor and system setup are probably the reason why a certain game is not displayed in your Intel® Application Optimization interface.

So, in your reply it's stated ",,,probably the reason,,,". This is not a definitive answer nor a fix.

Intel APO is one of the selling points of the 14900K, even in the description of APO it's stated "Intel recommends Intel® Application Optimization for 14th Gen Core Platforms or newer",  and us customers expect this to work! We paid for it!

Sounds like Intel is back peddling on it because the 14th gen is outperforming the newer Core Ultra 9, especially with gaming. That problem shouldn't rest on the customer, we should get what was sold to us!

Seeing others here asking for help/fix with the same issue, but all we get is the same canned answers and no resolution.
Nothing personal Earl E., but can we get someone from Intel to give us some real answers with a fix and not just quotes from support articles?

Thank you

They take us for newbies, but one thing is certain, they are not professionals, except in marketing to communicate false information to the press about the performance of their processors.
You want to double your FPS, buy an AMD, I would like to know that before...

bye bye Intel

Hello mZ68,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this matter. I understand your perspective. The games listed on the APO are those that identified during our investigation as being optimized for this specific processor, which is why it were published. Although this was mentioned in an earlier reply, I will include it again here for visibility: Intel® Application Optimization List of Games. To provide you with a more concrete explanation, allow me to further check this internally.

Hi mZ68,

I appreciate you waiting patiently.

Please see Game Visibility in Intel® Application Optimization. It explains that not all processors will show all the titles listed in advanced mode. Only games that show some uplift will show up in the list. Most of the games added are geared towards the latest Arrow Lake processors. However, even then, the overall configuration will be vary on the results. If APO does not detect optimization, it will not include a game in the UI.

In Intel® Application Optimization List of Games, under the note: "Default enabled list may vary by platform/processor generation", not all games will show for all configurations. Titles will only show when some optimization is identified.
