Screen Flashing under Vulkan rendering for Path of Exile 2.

This happens with ALL intel arc cards, A-series, B-series, and integrated GPUs. All of them. But NOT on Nvidia or AMD GPUs.

Personally I'm on the iGPU from Intel Core Ultra 5 125H.

It happens under ALL recent versions of intel drivers.

Game: Path of Exile 2

Set rendering to Vulkan, and walk close to a rare monster with "temporal bubble". Screen will flash 100% of the time. See picture.

Hi AlbertZZ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, kindly provide the Intel System Support Utility Logs.

To generate the log file:

  1. Download the Intel® SSU from this link: Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*
  2. Launch the application and select the checkbox for “Everything”
  3. Click Scan
  4. When the scan completes, click Next, then Save
  5. Attach and send the saved file with your response

If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Best regards,

Here is the SSU report. As far as I know  this happens to all my friends with Intel card under various other hardwares, so it shouldn't be an issue with my hardware/system.

Hi AlbertZZ,

Thank you for providing the SSU logs. I have reviewed your system information.

Intel follows the system requirements set by each game developer to ensure optimal software performance. These requirements are determined by the developers based on their own testing and performance goals for their titles.

Based on the details you provided, it appears that the game does not currently meet the developer’s minimum system requirements for your Intel integrated graphics configuration.

The system requirements for Path of Exile 2 are as follows:

Minimum Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-7700 or AMD™ Ryzen 5 2500x
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960 (3GB) or ATI Radeon™ RX 470
  • Storage: 100 GB available space.

Recommended Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-10500 or AMD™ Ryzen 5 3700X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060 or ATI Radeon™ RX 5600XT
  • Storage: 100 GB available space (SSD recommended).

I recommend reaching out directly to the game developer or publisher to:

  • Confirm the current minimum and recommended system requirements
  • Inquire about support for your specific Intel iGPU model
  • Ask if there are any planned updates to expand hardware compatibility
  • Explore possible settings adjustments that might enhance performance

While Intel continuously improves graphics performance through driver updates, the final decision regarding supported hardware configurations lies with the individual game developers.

With this, we will proceed to close it. Please note that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel. Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

First, I would like to raise the point that the iGPU in Ultra 5 is comparable to a GTX 960 (in fact, the performance is better). It does satisfy the minimum requirements.

However, THIS IS NOT THE POINT AT ALL.

This problem occurs on ALL intel Arc GPUs, including  iGPUs, A770, B580, etc., regardless of CPU. Even people with AMD CPU+B580 have the same graphic issue.

See

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3772722

and

https://www.reddit.com/r/IntelArc/comments/1hj8dgl/has_anybody_here_tested_the_b580_on_path_of_exile/

The problem persists on Desktops as long as the GPU is of Intel Arc series.
