Hey there, fellow gamers!
I'm reaching out to this wonderful community because I'm experiencing some frustrating game performance issues on my Intel Evo laptop. Despite the reputation of Intel Evo laptops for delivering a premium experience, I'm encountering difficulties while trying to play games. I'm hoping that someone here might have some insights or suggestions to help me resolve this problem.
Here's a brief overview of the issue I'm facing:
Low FPS: When playing games, I'm noticing lower than expected frame rates, resulting in choppy gameplay and a less immersive experience. It seems like my laptop is struggling to keep up with the demands of the games I enjoy.
Lag and Stuttering: In addition to low FPS, I'm experiencing frequent lag and stuttering during gameplay. These interruptions make it challenging to enjoy games smoothly.
Graphics Settings: I've tried adjusting the in-game graphics settings to lower levels, hoping to improve performance, but the issue persists. It seems like my laptop is not utilizing its resources effectively for gaming purposes.
Heating: While gaming, I've noticed that my laptop tends to heat up quite a bit. I'm concerned that this may be contributing to the performance problems.
Here's some information about my laptop:
Model: Lenovo
Processor: intel
Graphics Card: Intel
RAM: 8 gb
Storage: 1 TB SSD
I'm not sure if there's something specific, I need to do to optimize my laptop's gaming performance. If you have any suggestions or troubleshooting tips, I would greatly appreciate it. Here are a few questions I have:
Are there any software optimizations or updates I should consider to improve game performance on my Intel Evo laptop?
Could the heating issue be affecting the gaming performance? What steps can I take to mitigate this?
Are there any recommended settings or tweaks within the Intel Evo laptop that could enhance gaming performance?
Are there any known compatibility issues or driver conflicts that could be causing the game performance problems?
I'm open to any advice or recommendations you can provide. If you have encountered similar issues in the past or have any expertise in troubleshooting gaming performance on Intel Evo laptops, please share your insights.
Thank you so much for your help and support!
Best regards,
tammygombez

Hello tammygombez,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with your Intel Evo laptop.
In order to better assist you, please provide the following:
1. Can you provide the list of the games affected?
2. Is this issue recent? Was the laptop working before?
3. Did you confirm that the laptop meets the minimum requirements for the games?
4. Did you check this issue with the laptop manufacturer?
5. Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.
- Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html
- Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
- To save your scan, click Next and click Save.
