Hello, lets see if someone has the same issue. I've recently bought a notebook with intel HD 4600 (driver ver. 10.18.10.3621) that is connected to an Asus 10 bit monitor (PA 279).
When I create a black and white ramp, I get just an output of 8 bits as I see a lot of banding that changes as I tweak the brightness and contrast.
The softwares I'm using are DavinciResolve, configured to output in 10 bit color; and Photoshop CS6 with 30Bit Display checkbox activated on Advanced Graphics Processor Settings.
Does anyone know how to get a real 10 bit output from the Intel HD 4600?
Thank you!
John.

Hello John35, are you asking about color depth or bits per color/bits per pixel (BPC/BPP)?
The following color depth is supported on any resolution: 8-16-32 bits.
BPC/BPP depends on screen resolution, refresh rate and interface used.
Please let me know if more information is needed.

Hello Joe,
thanks for your reply. I forgot to mention it above, I'm talking about Bits per Channel, what I would like is to display "Deep Color" images on my 10bit panel screen, I would like to see smooth gradients without banding.
How can I get a deep color output from the Intel HD 4600?

Hi John35,
I am going to take over Joe on this one.
Please note that at this point our graphics controller allow the users to select either 16 bit or 32 bit for Color Depth settings only but deep color is handled automatically by the graphics driver and there is no option to change it.
