system experienced a SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (7e) bugcheck. The most critical information from the dump analysis is the faulting module:

  • Module Name: igdkmdnd64.sys

  • Error Type: Access Violation (c0000005)

I have rolled back to the 6989 drivers from the most current, yet the problem persists

Hello EQuinn,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.

  1. Was it working fine before?
  2. If yes, what was the last change made in the system before the issue started?
  3. Are you getting an error message every time the game crashes? Can you send a screenshot?
  4. How did you update the driver?
  5. For me to review the hardware and the installed driver, please help generate the SSU of the system. Kindly refer to the link below for the steps:

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Hi  Mike,

Thanks for your reply. This was the first time I had any issue with the card. I am not aware of any change, perhaps an update auto-downloaded? There was no error message, the computer would either reset or hang indefinitely. I updated the driver by uninstalling with DDU, then downloading from intel.com. I have included the SSU below.

What eventually seems to have fixed it was running powershell: sfc /scannow
DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

At the moment I am not having issues.
