I have installed the latest graphic driver (10.18.15.4263) at Windows 10 and noted that no DXVA suuport for VP9 / HEVC(10-bit). Is there any hardware acceleration of VP9 or HEVC(10-bit) built-in the GPU? Any future driver update will be included the support of VP9/HEVC(10-bit) dxva support?

Hello,
According to Google VP9 video codec is supported by browsers like Chromium, Chrome, Firefox and Opera and it is not hardware dependant.
For HEVC codec, it is fully supported in Skylake platform. Skylake processors and chipsets were released recently and it is the latest platform we have so far.
The following link shows a list for Skylake products:

Google VP9 at 720p resolution can be played at an acceptable speed. However, as no hardware acceleration, 1080p content cannot be played smoothly. According to the product brief of braswell processor, VP9 should be supported by the chip. Hence, grateful if intel can consider to add VP9 support to the driver for Windows

After updating the driver to the latest version (4331) by Windows Update, it was found that the VP9 decode is supported by the built-in display. I can play the VP9 format youtube video smoothly for 1080p, acceptable for 1440p and slightly lag for 2160p by Google Chrome. For decode standalone VP9 file, 4k 30fps can decode smoothly.
The hardware acceleration for decoding youtube H264 in Firefox is also enabled after updating.
Thank you for the assistance for the driver developer.
I should be grateful if the developer can add the decode for HEVC(10-bit) in the future driver updating.
