Here's the rundown, asrock z590 mobo, 10900kf cpu, arc a770, 32g gskill ram, 850w corsair.
I've had this rig for a couple years and I cannot reliably get it to post in the top slot. I've been through bios settings, bios has been updated, Ive taken my m.2 out, tried booting from sata thinking it was a pcie conflict, updated chip set software, every driver on the machine, had every component out multiple times, inspected mobo and slot for damage or debris, I have literally done everything but throw the kitchen sink at it. It is currently in use. This is a last ditch effort before I decide the combo is cursed and either upgrade mobo or processor. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Dude4511984,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue you’re experiencing with your system. To better assist you, I need to gather some additional information. Could you please answer the following questions?
- Are you able to POST the system before?
- Have you tried using a different graphics card in the top slot to see if the issue persists? This can help determine if the problem is with the slot or the card.
- Have you tried booting with only one stick of RAM in different slots to see if there's any change in behavior?
- Have you checked for any bent pins in the CPU socket or any visible damage on the motherboard that might be causing the issue?
- Have you tried clearing the CMOS to reset the BIOS settings to default? This can sometimes resolve conflicts.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be worth considering testing with a different motherboard or CPU to isolate the problem further.
Providing this information will help me diagnose the system more accurately and check for available solutions. Thank you for your cooperation, and I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Randy T.

Hello Dude4511984,
This further supports the idea of a compatibility issue or a specific problem with the GPU or its drivers. How did you perform the last update? Did you use a device manager-clean installation or Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) before updating to the latest graphics driver?
The motherboard works flawlessly in another system with a different GPU (GTX 1660). This indicates that the motherboard itself is not faulty.
Best regards,
Randy T.
