Assistance Required for Utilizing Intel ARC A750 GPU in Rendering Applications

I am currently using an Intel ARC A750 graphics card alongside an Intel 11th Gen i5-13400 CPU. However, when I run rendering software such as COMSOL Multiphysics 5.6, Blender, or similar applications, I notice that my CPU gets fully loaded while the GPU remains mostly idle or underutilized.

Could you kindly guide me on the necessary steps to enable GPU-based rendering or computing in these applications? Do I need to adjust specific settings or configurations to offload tasks to the GPU? Additionally, are there any specific drivers, updates, or tools that I need to install for better GPU performance with these applications?

Any advice or recommendations you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.

Thank you for posting in the Community!

Apologies for the delay on my response.

Please make sure you provide the following basic information when reporting a bug:

What is the graphics driver you are using?

  • Confirm you are using the latest WHQL graphics driver available (let us know the exact driver version you are using).
  • A clean driver installation using DDU in safe mode is recommended. Follow this link for instructions.
  1. You could also test using the latest Beta driver. Our Beta drivers go through all Intel quality assurance processes and are safe to use for evaluation.

Make sure to set your graphics to Arc A750, not the integrated graphics on your processor.

  1. To set the default graphics card on Windows, you can follow these steps:
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Go to the System tab.
  4. Click/tap on the Display option.
  5. Scroll down and click/tap on the Graphics option.
  6. Choose the app and set the graphics to your Intel Arc A750
