Hello, so i've been having issues with my B580, with the graphics drivers. Fortnite is the only game that stutters, and crashes, i have to play on old graphics drivers because the new ones are terrible, anything I can do?

Hi GavinP209,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:

  • Does the issue occur only during cutscenes? Or does it also happen during regular gameplay or menus?
  • When did the issue start? Was it after a specific driver update or game patch?
  • What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried so far other than using older drivers?
  • Is the Resizable Bar enabled?
  • Have you used DDU to completely remove all residual drivers and installed a new one?
  • Have you tried adjusting the graphics settings?
  • Could you provide a screenshot of your in-game display and graphics settings?

I would also like to obtain 3 CapFrameX log to thoroughly analyze the FPS performance. Kindly ensure that the game would run for a minimum of 3 minutes each.

In line with this, please provide a kernel or complete crash dump for analysis.

Additionally, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. You can follow the instructions at this link and send the text file here. Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Best regards,

Hey! Thanks for the reply! I just found out that this issue only happens on dx11/ performance mode, does that change anything you want me to do?

Hello @GavinP209,
Fortnite crashes on B580 are often tied to ArcControl’s sharpening filter—disable it and switch to DX11 for stability. Use DDU in safe mode before reinstalling driver 5252, which is more reliable.

Hello James!

I came across this thread and found some similarities. I too, am having issues with my B580 Arc card. I have tried everything with Fortnite with clearing my config files and web cache. However, I continuously am crashing. I took the newest update a day or so ago and I am beginning to wonder if this is my problem. I’m unable to go into the Fortnie settings because, I crash before I can even get there. I am in the tubing beta for the intel graphics driver support area and have reset my tubing as well back to basic. I’m unable to do much! I am at a loss and now am unable to play without crashing! Please help!
