B580 not drawing enough power

Hello everyone! I am fully aware that there is another post with the exact same issue. but even after uninstalling my drivers twice, switching the PCIE gen from AUTO to Gen4 my Sparkle B580 weirdly still draws 105W at most even when the frames aren't stable (ex: 60fps capped while the GPU struggles at 53-57fps with 96-97% utilization) both Rivatuner and Intel's own software report that the GPU isn't being fed the correct amount of power (100w on average). I also checked that my windows 10 is on the high performance power plan and it was. there was one instance while in Cyberpunk where the card drew 130W but that only happened once at random, so the readouts are correct. to further back up that claim when I set the GPU to a 51% power limit it dropped to 71W.  Rebar is also on so it can't be that.
I checked the PSU and done everything to single the problem out and only some sort of software issues and a faulty GPU remain.
Decided to check the V-F curve and while it reaches 3.1GHz at 0.995V the max is 3.4GHz at 1.120V.
I am well and truely stomped and would appreciate all the help/insight anyone would give me!
My specs:
Windows 10 22h2
MSI X670e
Ryzen 7 7700
Sparkle B580 Titan OC
32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL28
520W PSU

after setting the voltage limit to 80% the card tried to reach the 1.12V limit on the V-F curve but fluctuated severly up and down, while the card drew 118-126W, it didn't take long for it to crash..

After using 3DMark's Time Spy the card drew 130W again, I decided to see what would happen with a 70% Volt limit increase and it drew 170W so the GPU is fine but something software relate it makes it act very weirdly. keeps getting weirder and weirder

Hi ThunderBolt,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:

  • When did the issue start? Was it working fine before?
  • Have you used DDU to completely remove all residual drivers and installed a new one?
  • Have you tried adjusting the graphics settings?
  • Have you tried changing your power settings?
  • What is the exact make and model of your power supply?

Additionally, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. You can follow the instructions at this link and send the text file here. Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Hello! and thanks for reaching out!!

It always was like this, the make and model is Sparkle B580 Titan OC serial number: LG2412027329

Yes I used DDU multiple times as I heard it's a good app, I went so far as to choose the option provided by Intel to do a clean uninstall as well afterwards.

I did try adjusting graphics settings but apart from fps changes nothing else happened.

My power settings? you mean as in the windows power plan or the power limit? either way I already tried setting them to the highest.

My exact make and model for the PSU is a 520W Segotep Nuclear aircraft carrier H9Plus+ (what a name) from 2017.

It should be good enough, right? The 2060 I used to have in my PC drew 230W constantly while gaming.

Hi ThunderBolt,

Thank you for the update. It appears that your power supply is below the recommended 600W requirement for the Intel® Arc™ B580 Graphics card. This could be causing the issues you're experiencing, as the graphics card may not be receiving sufficient power to operate effectively. I strongly recommend upgrading to the suggested power supply. You might want to consult our Computer Systems and Devices Powered by Intel for options.

With this I will proceed to close this inquiry now. Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel. Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

This is a lazy response by Intel... Look at the system specs, this PC would be lucky to pull 350-400W under a full load and that's being generous. The 520W PSU has plenty of headroom with this configuration, its not the issue here.

The "full Intel costumer expirience" one could say. At any rate while It also smells like lazy and 0 though bull**bleep**. I'll switch the PSU to a 850W one sometime in the future and see what that do
