Hi, I got My PC = i7-8700K + ASUS PRIME Z370A +16GB DDR4 + SATA SSD 275GB + Win10Home(64bit)

+ UHD Graphics 630 + DELL 4K Monitor UP3214Q via Displayport.

Problem: My PC displays "Two 1920x2160 (60Hz) Screens" (left and right) on a DELL UP3214Q 4K monitor.

- UHD Graphics 630 driver ver. 22.20.16.4815 (2017.9.26)

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27199/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-47- Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.47]

  • Date: 10-Oct-2017
  • Version: 15.47.02.4815 (Latest)
  • OS: Windows® 10, 64-bit*

- Dell UP3214Q.inf ver.1.0 (2013.6.6)

But I would like to see only one 3840x2160 (60Hz) Screen on DELL UP3214Q 4K monitor.

Is there anybody who knows the reason ?

Cf. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27266/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-60- Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.60]

  • Date: 07-Nov-2017
  • Version: 15.60.0.4849 (Latest)
  • OS: Windows® 10, 64-bit*

Although try installing this latest verion 15.60.0.4849, but its installer says "Can't install for 8th gen processors".

I don't know why.

Cf., Another system (with i7-4790K+ASUS Z97A+HD4600+Win10Home64bit) can display 4K (60Hz) screen on This DELL 4K monitor via Displayport.

Thanks.

Hi vicl6: Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Graphics communities. We will do our best to try fix this problem.

In regard to your configuration, there are some monitors that support the feature of splitting the screen in half, it seems to be case for this scenario based on the fact that you are using just one video port, so, what we recommend is to verify the manual of the monitor to choose the proper configuration. I looked for it and I found details about "Easy Arranged", that allows you to customized the Windows on your monitor. Please verify that information and please check the settings of the monitor, page 5:

http://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_display_projector/esuprt_display/dell-up3214q_user%27s%20guide3_en-us.pdf http://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_display_projector/esuprt_display/dell-up3214q_user%27s%20guide3_en-us.pdf

Also, you can always check with Dell directly if there is a way to disable "Easy Arranged" or if there is another setting that is causing the splitting of the screen:

http://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/us/en/4/contactus/dynamic http://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/us/en/4/contactus/dynamic

Once you confirm that information, please try to install driver 4849 again, after that you should be able to set the 4K resolution:

If you get the message again, we can try to install it manually:

Any further questions, please let me know.

Hi, Alberto. Thank you for your message and advice.

I use only one video port (display port) between Dell UP3214Q monitor and i7-8700K PC.

I tried "Easy Arrange" in Dell Display Manager.

But this feature looks like "splitting Single 1920x2160 screen (NOT whole 4K 3840x2160) into Multiple sub-window regions".

Two 1920x2160 screens (on this 4K monitor) remains the same during and after Easy Arrange operation.

I could not create a single 4K screen on this 4K monitor.

Excuse me. Here it is up to. Following later (after business trip).

I will try more based on your advises and report more a few days later.

Thanks,

vicl6
