Can't resize vlc window on intel igpu

i run 4 screens of a nvidia card(gtx1080Ti SLI) and then i run 1 monitor from the igpu built in intel graphics. On that screen the intel monitor i can't seem to resize on it as soon as i try to fullscreen or just expand the window by 1 pixel the video gets total blackout and you have to open the file again vlc doesn't crash or anything the video is black but everything else is still going. if you resize it prior to moving it to the intel monitor it works. i am on the latest version of vlc and nvidia+intel driver. is it just me that have problems like these when using 2 gpus?

You have identified your nvidia graphics, but not your intel graphics.

Provide your processor model number, operating system, and what Intel graphics you have.

yes i even checked now too.

there is 2 different intel graphics drivers which says "latest" on both i took the 24.20.100.6136 driver this is the correct one right? i can't see the difference other than 24 is newer?

There is only one latest - the one dated 6/5/2018.

kinda contradictory but im on the "latest" anyway.

here is the error i get as soon as i try and resize the vlc window:

I was wondering if you needed any further help. If you still do, I would like to take a look at your system configuration. Please run the Intel® System Support Utility and attach the report.

 

 

1.Download the Intel® System Support Utility and save the application to your system.

2.Open the application and click Scan to see system and device information. The Intel® System Support Utility defaults to the Summary View on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says summary to change to Detailed View.

 

3.To save your scan, click Next and click Save. You can save the file to any accessible location on your computer.

 

 

Also, how are you connecting your monitors? Please describe.

5 monitors

4 goes directly to the first Nvidia GPU

and then 1 monitor goes to the intel iGPU

Thank you for your response.

 

 

I would like to know if you have tried using other cables to make sure that the one you are using is not defective. Do you have other video output ports. For example, if you are using HDMI video output at this moment, are you able to use DisplayPort?

 

 

I also suggest you use another monitor/TV to make sure the monitor is not the root of the problem.

 

 

Regarding the latest driver installed in your computer, does the issue occur while using other driver versions provided by your system manfacturer? Check whether the problem occured after an update. You can try rolling back the driver if this is the case.
