I have a laptop with Mobile Intel (R) 965 Express Chipset Family and there is no option to rotate its screen. In the Intel driver icon in taskbar there is no such option. Even when I press CTRL + ALT + F12 and go to Display Settings, there is no option for screen rotation.
I have already installed the latest driver, a more outdated, and even a Windows Vista and the problem persists. I searched the web for more than forty sites with similar problem, and neither solves this. In these searches, I noticed that this problem usually appears in notebooks (of various brands).
My system is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, but when I used Windows XP this problem does not occur.

The menu Rotation and the option Enable Rotation simply do not exist in video options. However, today I had one more proof that my graphics card supports rotation, because when I installed Windows 8 rotation came enabled by default in generic driver. But updating the video driver to the latest the option to rotate ceased to exist again
Edit: when I uninstall the updated driver, returning to generic, the rotation back.
