Hi,

I'm an owner of Asus N550JK notebook. It's NVIDIA Optimus based, but I believe Displayport reside on Intel's side.

None of my monitors won't work with Displayport of this laptop, other laptops (non-Optimus) handle them fine. Windows 8.1 I use cannot detect it. The driver in use is Intel HD Graphics 4600 10.18.10.3960.

Can you help me troubleshooting this?

Thanks for any suggestions,

K

Hello K, thanks for joining the graphics community.

I was checking on your post and this behavior seems to be to the way the VBIOS was configured by Asus.

They might have set the HDMI port to be the first video output. This kind of issues needs to be handled with the OEM.

I would like to know if you are able to get video when using the HDMI port.

In additional to that K, I would recommend you to use only the graphics drivers provided by ASUS.

They make many customizations to the drivers and since our drivers are generic, the installation of them could overwrite the customizations made by ASUS.
