When you adjust max VRAM allocation to a lower amount (8gb, for example), the system still allocated the full 8gb to VRAM. This system is supposed to automatically scale VRAM.

Hello DarthVince,
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
Based on the screenshot you provided, VRAM does not appear to be fully allocated. Instead, it seems to be functioning as expected with shared memory (5628 / 18409 MB). This indicates that approximately 5628 MB of dedicated VRAM is currently in use, while the remaining capacity is being supplemented through shared system memory.
To further confirm this behavior, kindly check Task Manager and review the current usage of both GPU memory and system RAM. Please provide screenshots showing the following:
- GPU memory usage (both dedicated and shared)
- Overall system RAM usage, including remaining available memory
This information will help us verify whether the memory allocation is working as intended.
Additionally, could you please confirm if you are the one who posted the related thread on Reddit?
Looking forward to your reply.
Thank you.
Best regards,

Hello DarthVince,
Thank you for your cooperation.
To further investigate your concern, I would like to gather more details about the observed behavior:
- Where did you observe that the VRAM is fully allocated when set to "Auto" or "8GB"? Kindly provide screenshots.
- Which game or application is being used to reproduce the issue?
Regarding the description:
"The VRAM on the Claw 8AI is not properly scaling. When it’s set to 'Auto' (default), the full 18GB is allocated to VRAM when starting a game, leaving only 14GB for system RAM."
Please note that when set to "Auto," the VRAM should be capped at half of the total system RAM (16GB). Kindly double-check and confirm if this is the case.
Once I have this information, I will proceed with the investigation.
Best regards,
Brenz L.

This issue is present in all games, not only BF6.

As you can see in the post, other users are experiencing performance issues as well, which are resolved by lowering the VRAM allocation.
Battlefield used to state that there was only 128mb of VRAM, but the VRAM amount would scale. Now, there are performance issues and crashing in multiple games as if you don’t have enough RAM.
