Collage mode on Skylake (i5) NUC problem

Hi,

I'm facing problem to work with my 3 full HD panels in Collage mode via DP only. I have following configuration

NUC - http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjPwLrblpbOAhWDUNsKHc0MAiQYABAZ&ohost=www.google.cz&cid=CAESIuD2v2GhACkIytNId7k3H7gsRx8XNKs644sjVAecQD12QiU&sig=AOD64_3MMbbn76aW9DUtBPYce73nh5-tDg&ctype=5&q=&ved=0ahUKEwjc47bblpbOAhUHfRoKHVXrCnAQww8IMw&adurl= Intel NUC 6I5SYH

Win 10 - 64 bit ( but tested on Win 7 as well )

Graphic driver - xxx 74 ( latest beta )

BIOS ( 39 )

55" Videowall Philips monitors ( latest firmware )

The symptom is that I can see ALL three monitors in Extended desktop mode, when I change for Collage, there are just 2 monitors visible.

What I did

- changed tons of DP cables ( very good quality, lengths 1,2,3 m ), connected via monitors ( monitors have in / out DP, ver. 1.2 )

- tested MTS DP splitter - also visible just 2 monitors in Collage ( and 3 in extended )

I succeeded with combination 2x DP + 1x HDMI ( as NUC has 2 video outs ), but then there is limitation in frequency, different color scheme ( probably due to HDMI - DP active conversion ).

Is there any chance to use the simplest method - daisy chaining of all 3 monitors via DP ?

Thx,

Michal

Hi Mike_k

I recommend you to try these resolutions; here is the Technical Product Specification Page# 22

http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/boardsandkits/NUC6i5SYB_NUC6i3SYB_TechProdSpec.pdf http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/boardsandkits/NUC6i5SYB_NUC6i3SYB_TechProdSpec.pdf

Please let me know the outcome.

Hellen.

Unfortunately, it did not work.

On the page you are referring, there are just general guidelines for DP daisy chain connection that ( of course ) we do ( otherwise it could not work even with 2 monitors ).

As we have been facing couple times lost of multi-screen configuration ( video player requests full screen which sometimes causes going back to extended or even to single monitor configuration ) , we are more and more we are convinced it's bug in video driver....

If you still believe it can be solved with some advice, we will be delighted to try it out.

Thank you.
