Hello @Tbi1

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.

We understand you are experiencing issues with your NUC X15 Laptop Kit. We will be more than happy to assist you.

Please answer the following:

·      Was it working before?

·      Have you made any recent software change?

Please check this:

1.    Update the BIOS to the latest version depending on your model (BIOS Update [ACADL357] or BIOS Update [KCTGL357])

2.    Check the fan settings in the BIOS and load the defaults if necessary.

To load the BIOS to defaults:

a)   Press F2 during start to enter BIOS Setup.

b)   Press F9 to set BIOS default values.

c)    Customize any BIOS settings, if desired (optional).

d)   Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.

3.    Set the Power Option from Balanced to Best Performance on Windows.

4.    Reinstall NUC Software Studio.

Also, in order to have more information about your system, please download, install and run Intel® System Support Utility for Windows. Make sure you check “Everything” before you scan, then save the report and attach it to your response.

Best regards,

Hi @Jose_Intel

Sorry for reopening an old thread, my NUC X15 also has heating issues in normal use with regular freezes from excess heat. I am running the latest BIOS update KCTGL357, however there are no fan settings in the BIOS as you mentioned. Additionally, the NUC software application defaults to passive cooling on every boot and there seems to be no way to override this. I would much prefer to set a custom aggressive fan curve but the option does not seem available.

Regards

Nathan
