Hi,
Trying to upgrade from 8.15.10.2696 to 8.15.10.2761 using zip version of download and 'have disk' method (which has worked for previous upgrades). Installation fails with a message that Windows cannot verify that driver is compatible with my hardware. Any ideas?
Edit to add - examining the .inf it appears my hardware ID isn't defined as valid (the relevant line is commented out ( ;%iSNBGM2% = iSNBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0116 ). Is there a good reason for this or am I safe to uncomment and retry the installation? Still a number of OpenGL niggles with .2696 that I'm hoping have been fixed.
This is my hardware ID from device manager.

You could try installing the *.exe variant.
I was able to successfully install driver build 2761 on a system featuring a Core i7 2600K
under Windows 7 Professional 64 SP1. The *.exe file is not digitally signed as of now,
but that should not pose a problem.

Thanks all. .exe version installed fine for me as-well (I've had trouble installing .exe versions before as it's an OEM laptop, but it appears that it installs fine as long as the existing driver isn't an OEM version).

The win7_64_152612.zip file (the ZIP file 8.15.10.2761 64bit download package) for Win7 64bit edition has the kit45406.inf file, which is an OEM version when it should really contain the igdlh64.inf file, which should be a generic version. The EXE downloads have the correct INF files (igdlh.inf and igdlh64.inf). And the 32bit ZIP download (win7_152612.zip) has the right INF file (igdlh.inf).
FIX THIS EMBARRASING MISTAKE, INTEL!! NOW, NOT LATER!!
temporarily remove the win7_64_152612.zip file off your web site,
remove the KIT45406.INF and KIT45406.CAT files,
put the IGDLH64.INF and IGDLH.CAT files into the ZIP file
and post up the revised win7_64_152612.zip file on the web site.
It is not so hard to do, Intel! Find the time to correct this kind of abomination.
