DF45GC "No signal" with some resolutions using HDMI

I have a DF45GC connected through HDMI to a LG (19LS4R) monitor. The monitor native resolution is 1440x900. I am using Debian Lenny. I have run "X -configure" which generated xorg.conf.new. When I use this file to start X "No Signal" appears in the monitor. Looking at the Xorg.0.log everything seems to be ok. If I change the xorg.conf.new file to use 800x600 resolution it works correctly. The same computer & monitor connected to DVI -> VGA works ok at 1440x900. I've tryed another HDMI cable, and another type of monitor without problem.
