If a oem produces a system board using the QM57 Express PCH chip, and includes a DisplayPort connector, will the connector be DisplayPort++ compatible ? The chip seems to provide dual mode operation of the display port pins, ie HDMI/DVI and DisplayPort so it should be capable of this ?

And, you should install the chipset software provided to you by Panasonic (if it still exists).
