Driver Error(with event description)

Hi. I have a Clevo p170 model with an i7 4700mq processor, 8 gig RAM and an AMD 8970m gpu.

Been having a few issues with certain games crashing. Noticed this error on Sleeping Dogs, which crashes as soon as it gets into the start menu.

Faulting application name: HKShip.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x511151c4

Apparently the igd10iumd32 file is part of an intel driver. I have the OEM driver for Intel graphics installed. However I have tried updating and rolled back a few times because I thought it might be safer to stick. Could the error be coming from these changes in installations? I've just used control panel to uninstall because I haven't been able to find a guide on how to remove registry entries for Intel graphics drivers so I don't know if there's a corruption there because if I change AMD drivers without deleting registries they just do not work at all.

Also a bit confused on which Intel drivers work best with the AMD cards for Enduro support on 4th gen Intel systems. These forums seem helpful so I am hopeful, thanks in advance.

Hi catfisht,

Based on your description, It seems your computer comes with switchable graphics. From our side, I recommend you installing our latest generic driver that can be downloaded at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3720&DwnldID=23106&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=4th+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4600&DownloadType=Drivers&lang=eng https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3720&DwnldID=23106&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=4th+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4600&DownloadType=Drivers&lang=eng

In the case that this driver is not working, the best recommendation for you is to contact the computer manufacturer and get their custom driver for your unit.
