EDID overrides (using CRU) no longer working in the new DCH/UWD graphics drivers?

After testing the new DCH drivers (25.20.100.6444 and up) on several PCs, it seems as though Intel has dropped support for EDID overrides for some reason. Resolutions and refresh rates added via the popular Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) no longer show up in the Windows settings app or in the UWP Intel contol panel app. I mentioned this to the author of CRU (see https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU?pid=8199#pid8199) and they suggested I bring it to Intel's attention as well as EDID overrides were apparently requested by quite a number of people, so it's strange they have been dropped.
