Enabling the VGA port on an Acer aspire

I can't enable the VGA port on my ACER Aspire 1-572P. I know the cable and TV port work as a DVD player plays though it.

Question:- how the get the VGA output to work, I'l tried all the obvious.

Hello Pvmw, as far as I know VGA comes enabled by default. So I suggest you to contact ACER so they can troubleshoot your system since this could be a defective port.
