External monitors disabled in Intel Graphics Command Center

Hello. One of my user's laptops external monitors intermittently become disabled in Intel Graphics Command Center.

His Dell laptop is used at home and in the office. Three times in the past few months, when he plugs his laptop into his USB-C docking station, his two external monitors do not automatically come up. Only when I open the Intel Graphics Command Center, I find the monitors are disabled. I can manually enable them, then they turn on.

I've tested another laptop with the docking station, the monitors come up fine. I've switched docking stations and DVI/DisplayPort cables. Searched for updates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello acapistrano

Thank you for posting on the Intel Communities. We are sorry you experiencing issues when connecting multiple monitors to your laptop.

We will need more information in order to assist with this issue, please share the following with us:

  • Create a log file with the Intel® System Support Utility and attach it to your response for more information on the hardware configuration.
  • What is the docking solution make and model?
  • I see you tested a different docking solution and tested different cables, Was the other docking solution working fine with this setup?
