Hi all,
When I opened Intel Driver & Support Assistant, there is an update for InteL Endurance Gaming Mode version 1.5.651.0. But when I tried to download it, it always failed with the message download failed unexpectedly. I attached the screenshot. Can anyone advise how to fix it?
Thank you

Hello LT7879,
Thank you for reaching out. To resolve the "download failed unexpectedly" issue with Intel(R) Driver & Support Assistant, you can try the following:
- Open Intel(R) Driver Support Assistant > Settings.
- Under "Folder Location," click Change Location and select a new folder for downloads.
- Ensure no adblockers or browser extensions are blocking downloads.
- Run Intel(R) Driver Support Assistant and run it as Administrator
- Temporarily Disable Antivirus/Firewall, as these can sometimes block downloads.
For more information, kindly refer to “Unexpected Download Error” or “Multiple Download... (intel.com)
We look forward for your response.
Best Regards,
Robbie R.

Dear Robbie,
I have tried the proposed solution in the article you mentioned above, but it still gave the same error message. Do you have a direct link I can use to download it?
Thank you

Hi Monster,
thank you for the download link, I have tried to install it, but it gave me an error message : the setup wizard ended prematurely, can you advise on how to install it? did you uninstall the older one first?

setup requires administrator privileges during installation.
However, there is something wrong with some process that runs without administrator privileges and simply doesn't recognize that the assistant is installed.
If I run cmd as administrator and run setup, it is recognized properly, but this is not normal.
setup needs to be improved.
thank you.

Yeah, nooo...this does not work. I have tried running cmd as admin and it doesn't work. I tried running the intel assistant as admin...doesn't work. I tried changing the file location...it doesn't work. Intel needs to fix this problem!

This used to work by running through administrator CMD prompt but now it does not. Needs to be fixed for Windows 11. How did this even pass QA?
