Failure to update Intel® Graphics: Windows DCH® 10 drivers

I'm trying to update Intel® Graphics: Windows DCH® 10 Drivers. The system lets me download the file but when I try to install it I get an error. The error is "The driver being installed is not validated for the system. Get the right driver from the system manufacturer". I have always been able to download and install the intel drivers, up to Version: x.x.x.7870 which gives me an error.

What can I do to fix the error?

Thank you very much.

Your system is rejecting the driver, perhaps due to customizations required by your system.

If you have a laptop, this is especially true. Download and use the driver(s) provided by your laptop manufacturer.

Also, check your windows 10 version. Is it 1909?

Download, run, and ATTACH (using the paperclip) the results of this utility:

Then, an Intel support engineer can assist you.

Hello partner,

Thank you very much for your answer.

I have accessed the Acer website and I downloaded all the drivers that belong to Intel.

I've checked the windows 10 version and I have the 1909.

Then I downloaded the "System support utility" program from the link you provided. When I find myself in the last step "Submit" and it redirects me to the intel page to upload the file with all the information, the search engine tells me that the page does not exist.

What can I do to solve the problem?

I tried to contact a specialist from the intel site but he only let me post a question.

Thank you very much for your help.

Greetings

Save the output as a text file, then attach it with the paperclip.

Hello again,

I have saved the text file generated by the "System support utility". But when I try to access the website it tells me that it cannot be accessed.

I can send the file by replying to this post or re-generating a question.

Thank you

Just ATTACH the file to this thread using the PAPERCLIP under the toolbar.

Hello Javier_de_Juan_Bocos,

Thank you for submitting your question on this Intel® Community.

Based on the report attached to the thread, you are running the generic driver 24.20.100.6286 (Non-DCH/legacy). During the transition from Legacy drivers to Windows DCH Drivers you can only use the Installer (.exe) provided by Intel or your computer manufacturer.

It is worth mentioning that this option is not recommended as it overrides any customization done by your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Try using the .exe file to install the latest DCH driver.

Good morning,

Thank you very much for the information and help provided.

I ran the .exe file you sent me (I had used it before) and then I rescanned the pc. When I try to install the driver again I keep getting the same error.

I send the error that appears on my PC.

Thanks for the help,

Hello Javier_de_Juan_Bocos,

Thank you for your response.

  • Have you installed a DCH driver on your computer before? i.e. on your current configuration and OS.

Please go to Start > Settings > Apps & Features, and check if an existing DCH Graphics driver can be found.

  • Is the Intel® Graphics Command Center running on this computer? Go to Start and search "Intel® Graphics Command Center".

Good afternoon,

I had already installed Intel drivers from the official website. I have searched in configuration the DCH driver but I can't say exactly if I have it or not. Which applications or files verify it?

In answer to the second question. I have that program installed and running.

Thank you

Hello Javier_de_Juan_Bocos,

Thank you for your response.

DCH drivers should automatically download and install the Intel® Graphics Command Center. This could mean that the DCH was removed from the computer.

Try to follow these steps to install the driver.

1. Download the latest DCH driver from downloadcenter.intel.com and save it on your Desktop.

Version: 26.20.100.7870(.exe)

2. Disconnect from the Internet.

3. Uninstall any existing DCH Graphics driver via Start > Settings > Apps & Features.

Note: drivers with a build number .6519 or higher. For example: 25.20.100.6519. If you do not find any, continue with the steps below.

4. Uninstall the (DCH) Intel® Graphics Control Panel/Intel® Graphics Command Center via Start > Settings > Apps & Features.

5. Restart the computer.

6. In Device Manager > Right-click on "Intel® HD Graphics".

If "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" is already listed skip to step#10.

7. Select "Uninstall device".

8. Enable the option "Delete the driver software for this device" and click "Uninstall".

9. Restart the computer.

This should delete any non-DCH driver stored on Windows driver repository. Repeat steps #6 through #9 until "Intel® HD Graphics" changes to "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter")

10. Install the DCH driver downloaded in step #1.

11. Restart the computer.

12. Reconnect to the Internet.

13. The (DCH) Intel® Graphics Control Panel/Intel® Graphics Command Center should be downloaded automatically after a few minutes upon restart.

14. Restart the computer.
