Dear Intel Developer Team,
I am writing as an Intel Arc GPU user to submit a couple of feature requests regarding the driver application.
My primary request is for continued and enhanced focus on reducing latency within the Intel Arc driver suite. As a gamer, minimizing input lag is crucial for a responsive and enjoyable experience. I would greatly appreciate any ongoing efforts or future optimizations aimed at further reducing display and input latency across various games. Specific areas that could benefit include [mention specific games or scenarios if you have them, e.g., "fast-paced competitive titles," "VR applications," or "general desktop responsiveness"].
Secondly, I would like to inquire about the possibility of an option to disable HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) specifically for gaming applications. While I understand the purpose of HDCP for content protection, there are instances where it can interfere with certain capture setups, streaming configurations, or even troubleshooting. An optional toggle, if technically feasible and legally permissible, could provide users with more flexibility in managing their display output for gaming purposes. I understand the complexities involved with copy protection, but I believe this could be a valuable feature for a subset of users.
Thank you for your time and consideration of these requests. I am enthusiastic about the development of Intel Arc graphics and appreciate your ongoing work to improve the user experience.

Hello ALAK,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
Thank you for submitting feature request and showing desire to improve Intel products.
For me to document this properly and also forward this request to the correct group, please help provide the following information:
- What is the model of your Arc Graphics.
- Can you tell us more what triggers you to request for these features?
- Any additional details why would you want these features to be added?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael L.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your response and for taking the time to follow up.
To answer your questions:
1. My Intel Arc GPU model:
I am currently using the Intel Arc A770 16GB graphics card.
2. What prompted these feature requests:
Latency Reduction: As someone who frequently plays competitive multiplayer games such as Valorant, CS2, and Call of Duty: Warzone, I’ve observed that even slight improvements in input latency can make a noticeable difference in responsiveness and overall gameplay feel. I’m aware that Intel has been making great strides in this area, and I wanted to express support for continued efforts — particularly around driver-level latency optimizations, frame timing, and possibly expanding support for low-latency features like Reflex-like integrations or display pipeline improvements.
HDCP Disable Option: This stems from challenges when using external capture cards and streaming setups. For example, some HDMI capture cards cannot function properly when HDCP is enabled, leading to a black screen or failed capture. Additionally, during multi-monitor setups or troubleshooting high refresh rate issues, HDCP can interfere with the signal path. Other GPU vendors offer ways to disable HDCP under certain conditions (outside of protected content scenarios), and I think an optional toggle — even if hidden under advanced settings — could really benefit users in similar situations.
3. Additional details:
I understand that these features may not affect every user, but they’re increasingly relevant to gamers, streamers, and power users who want more granular control over their system. Including these options would enhance the flexibility and professional usability of the Arc GPU platform without compromising security for protected content.
Thank you again for passing this feedback along to the appropriate teams. I look forward to seeing how Intel Arc evolves!

Hello ALAK,
I hope you are doing well.
I just want to update you that I already forwarded your suggestions to the appropriate department and hoping that they may consider it on future driver/app release.
Since the suggestions are already forwarded, I need to close this thread now. If you have some questions and other suggestions, please create a new thread as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Thank you and have a great day.
