Flickering problems with the intel hd 620.

Hey,

Just bough a Lenovo Think Pad E570, yesterday installed the newest drivers out there. Yesterday after a few hours of working with it and today (which has gotten worse) got a lot of flickering going on. The moment i disable the current driver in the Device manager and reroll it to the Microsoft basic display adapter, the problem goes away.

Gonna drop a few videos about what i'm talking about here:

First one on how it goes away the moment i reroll to the microsoft drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6Z0DZubjjPkT3B3YWoxRFRyZDA VID_20170928_134228.mp4 - Google Drive

Second one on video on how it looks: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6Z0DZubjjPkN3B3SjZjOVpYNlk VID_20170927_211504.mp4 - Google Drive

Any help is appreciated. Wondering if it's fixable, what you're recommending and if i should start thinking about giving it back with the warranty.

Thanks in advance.

In all likelihood the laptop had come with a (custom) Intel graphics driver installed.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12415/windows-10-recovery-options Restore from a system restore point to go back to the point before you installed the generic (?) driver.

Try drivers provided by Lenovo

The laptop bought was without a OS, so there were no drivers installed. The Microsoft driver came with the windows installed and as far as i know, it's just a basic default driver Windows install, before updating to a better driver.

Today used the restoration point service before the Intel drivers have been installed and went with the Lenovo website, letting it scan down what my laptops model is and installed the recomended drivers (last time i just selected the model manually, now it even detected the serial number and the warranty left).

As yesterday, after installing it, everything seems fine. Gonna wait a few hours/a day to see if the problem comes back.

And it came back. Any more ideas?

So now i've tried out different versions of the driver and the same problem seems to be coming back. Of course, i could reinstall the windows, but is there reasoning to think that it wouldn't come back?

For now, i'm stuck with the Microsoft Basic display adapter. Could it be that, even though it's the default windows 10 driver, installing other drivers over it causes the issue? As i've heard that when changing drivers, you do have to remove the last one?

Any help appreciated.

You can't remove the Microsoft Basic display adapter.

Here is a list of generic drivers you can try: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/96551/Intel-HD-Graphics-620 Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 620

Have tried both that are offered in the past, did a system restore again and tried them again. Problem stays.

Anyone got at least an idea what's the nature of the problem? Could it be hardware?

Any ideas are welcome, getting a bit desperate.
