GfxDownloadWrapper.exe Error/Crash Popups

We are having the exact same issues as the person in this post: https://forums.intel.com/s/question/0D50P00004MCjuG/gfxdownloadwrapperexe-crashing?language=en_US -- event viewer entries match exactly. Can you give us a hand please?

 

Here are our details:

-Multiple HP Desktops/Laptops [Probook 640/650, Elitedesk 800 G2/G3, etc]

-Intel HD Graphics 520

-Driver version 25.20.100.6472 (latest from HP Support site) - installed via igxpin.exe

-Windows 10 1809 (build 17763.805)

-We also have a restrictive firewall but so far no blocks have been logged related to when this error is triggered

 

Any help would be wonderful. I am also (just like the person in the previous support post linked above) missing the presence of the C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Intel\Games directory (The Intel directory is empty)

treefort, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

 

We recommend to install the graphics driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer, since that driver was customized by them work with your specific platform.

 

I looked in HP's web site and for the HP Probook 640/650, the latest Intel® Graphics driver version available is 20.19.15.5063 Rev.W, which is the same graphics driver version that is showing in our web site, please test that driver:

For the HP Elitedesk 800 G2, the latest Intel® Graphics driver version available is15.60.4849 Rev.A:

For the HP Elitedesk 800 G3, as you mentioned the latest Intel® Graphics driver available is version 25.20.100.6472 Rev.C:

For both HP Elitedesk 800 G3/G4 laptops, according to the specifications, it says that it will depend on the model of the Intel® Processor that they have for us to be able to confirm which is the Intel® Graphics controller that they are using, to try to install the Intel® Generic Graphics driver:

What is the model of the Intel® Processor on those laptops?

 

Keep in mind that all those laptops contain the option to install AMD and Nvidia drivers, you might need to update those drivers as well. In order to confirm which are the proper ones for the laptops, the best thing to do will be to get in contact directly with HP so they can verify and confirm those details:
