Graphics control settings won't reset

I was messing around with display settings in intel graphics control centre on my dell xps windows 10 laptop. I changed the hue to negative which left my screen black and I couldn't reverse it. By connecting the laptop to a tv via hdmi, I can see everything fine, and reset the display settings for screen 1 (the laptop screen). However the laptop screen is still black. The settings say the hue is zero, but this has clearly not been reset. What can i do?
