What is the difference between the 31.0.101.2128 and the 31.0.101.2127 versions of graphics drivers? The release notes are identical (except the use of an acronym)

Hi Lio0oil,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

You have a very brilliant find here. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please allow us some time to check the differences between the two drivers aside from the acronym and release date.

Hi Lio0oil,

Thank you for waiting for our update.

We appreciate the thread that you created to bring this to our attention.

As of July 27th, 2022, Intel will be moving 6th - 10th Gen Intel Processor Graphics and related Intel Atom®, Pentium®, and Celeron® processor graphics to a legacy software support model. Intel will provide software support for affected products on critical fixes and security vulnerabilities only. Software updates for these products will move to a quarterly release cadence or with software releases as needed.

Additionally, the changes from 2127 to 2128 are internal and cannot be disclosed and the version numbers are indicative of the specific hot issues that have been resolved or are currently recognized as known issues.

We hope for your understanding on the matter. As much as I would like to provide you the modifications from 2127 to 2128, due to the reason above, I can only say that each driver release for your CPU’s graphics chip contain critical fixes and security vulnerabilities for affected products and are internal only.

For more information, please check our published statement on this page, Graphics Driver Support Update for 10th Generation and Older Intel Processor Graphics.

We will for your feedback regarding the answer above.

Hi Lio0oil,

We need to close this thread since we have not gotten a response from you: maybe because you are busy or preoccupied at the moment. We know that this is important for you to get it resolved and it is also equally important for us to give you the right solution; as much as we would like to assist you, we need to close it to attend to other customers.

If you still did not get the answer that you prefer, we recommend still that you use the latest graphics driver from your system manufacturer. We hope for your understanding on the matter.

We hope for your consideration and understanding on this one.

If you need any additional information, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer being monitored.

Thank you for contacting Intel® and have a great week!

Best Regards,
