Hi,
I recently purchased a Dell XPS 12 touchscreen laptop. I'm trying to run a game that uses 1280x800 resolution, so of course it presents with large black bars all around the screen given my system's native 1920x1080 resolution. I used the Intel Graphics control panel utility to attempt to enable full screen scaling, but it is not an option when at 1920x1080! The only available option is "maintain display scaling"; when I change the resolution to any other size, however, the "Scale Full Screen" option suddenly becomes available. How can I make that option available at 1920x1080?
Thanks very much.

Hi icedawg,
You can try installing a generic graphics driver we have available in our website. Since this driver is generic we cannot guarantee it will work fine on every OEM system. If the driver does not work properly I recommend reinstalling the latest graphics driver DELL provides in their website. This is the link to the driver http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22375&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22375&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers
If the option does not appear while using our driver then there is a chance DELL disabled that option in the video BIOS of the laptop. I recommend contacting DELL if the issue persists after testing our driver. You can use this link http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/contact_us?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&DoNotRedirect=y http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/contact_us?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&DoNotRedirect=y
Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I tried the generic drivers, but again the only option available under scaling for the 1920x1080 resolution was "maintain display scaling." I'll try contacting Dell as you suggested, but I'm pretty sure that'll turn out to be a fool's errand. Any other thoughts at all?
Thanks again for your help.
