Hi,

the auto driver update detection of the intel site proposed me an update for my HD4000. When i want to install it a popup appears that says "Operating System not supported".

My OS is Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64 Bit

i try to install file Win64_15338.exe

Does someone know what the problem could be?

thanks & regards

Hi LaMotta,

I had the same problem as you, it turned out that we have existing drivers on our system (is yours a Dell?)

See here for the solution/work-around: :

"If you are having trouble with installing the driver, it can be for various reasons. Most commonly, it is because your system currently has a driver that was installed by your OEM, and those drivers present various error messages to the effect of "this driver is not suitable for your computer because your OEM said so!". If that is the case, you should follow the http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm Manual Driver Installation instructions to install your driver (this is prefaced by downloading the .ZIP version of the driver from the links above)."

Here is the solution: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm Graphics — Computer Manufacturer Graphics Driver Detected

Hi LaMotta,

If you are having problems to install the driver using the Intel Driver Update Utility, as timboss says, the problem may be related to the driver you currently have installed.

Try doing the following:

  1. Uninstall the driver from device manager.
  2. Download the latest driver for your controller at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23405&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208.1%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23405&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208.1%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers

In case that you are having problems to install the .exe file you can try with the manual driver installation. Here you have the information for the manual driver installation:

Hi PatGab,

Sorry to hear that but let me help you.

Do you have the same graphics controller? Can you please post your dxdiag report here?
