HDMI: Intel Display Audio channels layout bug & Bitstreaming bug

MB: MSI MPG Z890 CARBON WIFI
CPU: Core Ultra 7 265K
AVR: Denon AVR-X250BT
OS: Win11 Pro

1) The channel mapping eventually becoming wrong and stay that way until I reinstall the Graphics driver completely. Reboot without reinstall doesn't help. Front left channel becoming Back left, Center becoming Front left and so on.
I'm trying to listen the PCM sources (software-decoded DTS-tracks or any, including usual Windows Test in its Soundcard Settings).
I was trying 5.1 and 7.1 layout in Windows Sound Settings...
I was trying WHQL driver 32.0.101.5869 and non-WHQL 32.0.101.6319 - no difference.

2) When I turn on direct bistreamnig of DTS or DD sound in Media players (VLC, MPC, MPC-HC, MPC-BE etc.), it works fine, but I cannot switch to usual mode (i.e. for watching Youtube or listen any PCM source) until I reboot the PC.

As I googled, there was completely the same problem with Haswell many yrs ago:
https://community.intel.com/t5/Graphics/HDMI-Audio-loses-layout-on-Haswell-and-Silent-Stream-Bug/m-p/455092
But I cannot find the solution 😞 .

I was using Haswell before Arrow Lake for ten yrs and there wasn't such a problem...
And I'll try Linux today - there was an issue about it's working OK, but Windows is important too.

Hello FedorRodiontsev,

I kindly ask for your patience and additional time as I coordinate this matter with our team for further checking. In the meantime, I would like you to try the following recommendations, considering you have already attempted a driver update and checked the audio configurations:

  1. Perform a Firmware Update: Check if there is a firmware update available for your Denon AVR-X250BT. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
  2. Perform a BIOS Update: Ensure that your motherboard BIOS is up to date. BIOS updates can enhance hardware compatibility and stability.
  3. Contact MSI and Denon Support: For further assistance, you may want to reach out to MSI and Denon support directly. They may have more specific solutions or be aware of ongoing issues with their hardware.

Additionally, could you please provide answers to the following questions so we can assist you better?

  1. Has this issue occurred before?
  2. Can you please run the Intel® System Support Utility for the Linux* Operating System and share the logs with me?
  3. How did you perform the last update? Did you use a device manager-clean installation or Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) before updating to the latest graphics driver?

Thank you for your cooperation, and please let me know if the recommendations work or if you need further assistance.

Best regards,
