HDMI no longer works on HP Envy 14 after Windows 8 install

I just installed Windows 8 on my HP Envy 14 and my HDMI port no longer works. It does not register my TV at all, when an hour ago it worked with Windows 7. I do not know nearly as much about PCs as most of the people in these threads and none of them have been helpful despite the fact that plenty of other people have this problem. I am about ready to ask for a full refund on Windows 8 if there is not a solution because I already had an issue with my Beats Audio as well. All of the updates have been installed.

PLEASE HELP! I am one unhappy customer.
