HP Elitebook 1040 G4 Basemodel Black Screen after installing Intel HD Graphics 620

I need help with my HP Elitebook 1040 Core i7-7600U CPU @2.80GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.9GHz on Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 22621) with the BIOS P96 Ver. 01.50.

Whenever I install the display drivers from the official Intel website (Intel® 7th-10th Gen Processor Graphics - Windows) on the normal mode of my machine, the screen goes black, so I have to enter safe mode and either uninstall or disable it to have my computer boot. When I enable it after rebooting, the screen goes black again. Some time back I installed Windows 10 and it behaved the same way.

Whenever I plug the laptop on a secondary screen like a TV using the available HDMI port with the display drivers enabled and the black screen, the screen does not display on the secondary screen.

I need to fix this because there are applications that cannot work without the display drivers and I also cannot change my laptop brightness (it's maximum brightness - it's killing me)

Currently I have my drivers disabled. I have attached some screenshots of my laptop information.

How do I fix this?

This problem has evolved. I have been doing some digging and found out that whenever I installed the display drivers, the screen went black because the install turned the registry Start entry under: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\igfx to 3, which means manual. So I changed the registry entry to 2, which means the display driver would start automatically, if I got that correct.

So, after making this registry change, my computer boots, although the display driver still doesn't work, It displays an error message:

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

The request is not supported.

Please Intel Employees, help me out. I'm stuck here.
