HP Mini 110 display problem

Product Specifications:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01884743&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01884743&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...

Hello.

Just by looking (maybe having seen it before), can anyone determine whether the condition below is caused by a faulty screen or by a faulty graphics device/connection?

Drivers are intact and up-to-date. An external monitor works fine.

I ask because I wouldn't like to purchase a replacement screen for no reason.

Thank you.

Re: HP Mini 110 display problem

Hello,

Try using the system with no driver installed or enter the system on safe mode. Also test the system using it through the system BIOS. if the issue persists that way then the issue would be related to the hardware meaning that either it is not properly connected or the display itself is defective.

In case you would like to test it, the generic driver for the video controller on your system is available here:
