Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble installing the latest Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD Graphics on my laptop. Every time i try to install, during the installation an error pops up. It says "The setup program failed to install one or more device drivers. Setup will exit." What i'm trying to install is "Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver, Windows 8.1* 64 (exe)" . i think i should uninstall old version then install latest version of intel graphics driver but witch file in program and features must be uninstall?
So does anyone know solution to this error?
Thank you,
Ramin

Raminraven, Thank you very much for joining the Intel® Graphics communities.
In order to better assist you in trying to install the latest graphics version, we just need to gather a few details:
What is the specific model of the laptop?
What is the model of the processor?
This is in order to confirm which is the graphics controller the system is using, to look for the proper graphics drivers.
Any further questions, please let me know.
Regards,
Alberto

Raminraven, Thank you very much for providing that information.
When you are using laptop what we recommend is to install the graphics drivers provided by the manufacturer, in this case ASUS, look for VGA on the link below:
https://www.asus.com/supportonly/K550JX/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/supportonly/K550JX/HelpDesk_Download/
If by any chance you are not able to install those drivers, then we can always try to install the graphics drivers provided by Intel, remember the Intel drivers are generic and they may or may not work with your system. The Intel® i5-4200H processor works with the Intel® HD Graphics 4600 controller, so we can try the following drivers:
4624:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26682/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-40- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26682/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-40-
Or 4578:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26544/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-15-36- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26544/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-15-36-
Just to let you know, there are no "Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver" results showing in our web site for your processor, remember that not all the processors work with those type of drivers, each processor has its own graphics drivers depending on the graphics controller it supports:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ https://downloadcenter.intel.com/
If you keep having problems at the moment when you try to install it, on the link below you will see the instructions of how to install the driver manually:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html
Please try to install the drivers provided above and let me know the results.
Any questions, please let me know.
Regards,
Alberto

When the HDMA cable to connect my laptop and TV I can see the TV picture but no sound!
In the mixer, and the playback options written HDMA is not not pluged in.

Raminraven, You are welcome. Thank you very much for providing that information.
It is great hear you were able to install the graphics driver.
Remember that the HDMI audio feature is included on the graphics driver, so, in order to try to fix this problem we recommend to install the graphics driver provided by ASUS.
Also we can try to re-install the chipset driver provided by ASUS and BIOS update to the latest version:
https://www.asus.com/supportonly/K550JX/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/supportonly/K550JX/HelpDesk_Download/
Do you have the option to use another HDMI cable?
Is there another HDMI port on the laptop that you can try?
Did it work fine before?
Could you please provide a picture of the playback devices so we can verify the devices listed in there?
Any questions, please let me know.
Regards,
Alberto
