Hello xjamesvalentinx,
I see that you are having problems with the latest video drivers and that the Intel(R) driver update utility does not recognize correctly your graphics controller.
Regarding your inquire, this seems more to a recognition problem than to a hardware problem. First I recommend you to make sure that you have the latest BIOS and that it supports the latest video drivers. If you do, this could be a compatibility problem that you should address with the motherboard manufacturer as it was working with the drivers provided by your motherboard manufacturer.
Regards.
