I reinstalled windows on my desktop. I didn't know which chipset to use so I install the intel program and it said my chipset was 925x. I download the drive and installed it but it's not showing on my displa. Can someone help me out?? am I missing something??

Hey,
can u please elaborate. Does your display turns black? or the driver isnt installed? Please make sure you installed the correct display driver from the intel's website, it would be easy if you mention complete name of the chipset .

The driver isn't installed. The chipset is Intel(R) 925X Express Family Chipset, I just use the .exe file.

also, I'm running an ASUS, socket 775 P5AD2-E Deluxe motherboard. I don't know if that helps...

so it seems like I need a video controller...could that be why the chipset driver is not installing or working?? and where can I get a video controller??

its better you download the driver from ASUS website:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
select the model of your motherboard and get the setup, if u cant download use CD came with your motherboard try using it to install the drivers.
