How can I set the default "Output to" monitor on a laptop

I have an Asus N series laptop running windows 8.1 with monitor . All my drivers are up to date.

When I restart the machine the monitor has a strange yellow hue that looks terrible. When I switch the Graphics Output > Output to > Digital Display the color looks great. But every time I restart my machine it defaults back to the yellow color even though there is a check mark next to Digital Display.

Why is this happening?

I understand you are getting yellow hue on the main screen (bulit-in LCD) of the laptop.

This may sound like you have a hardware problem with LCD screen of the laptop because you are saying it looks great, this has to be handled by your computer manufacturer if indeed the screen has some issues.

If you like to change monitor position to default secondary monitor. See below for more information:

HI, Allan,

Actually I am getting the yellow hue on the external monitor, not the built in display.

Even though the external display is set as the default I need to switch it to the built in, then back to the external to get the proper colors. Once I switch it back to "Digital Display" everything looks good.
