How to install Fedora 28 Server for the DBS1200SPLR motherboard

Need to install Fedora28 Workstation and Fedora28 Server on the DBS1200SPLR motherboard with the Kaby Lake E3-1275 v6 CPU but boot fails and lspci-k shows a Matrox MGA200 video adapter as well as Integrated Graphics, but there is no video card in the system. Is there really a Matrox display adapter on this motherboard?

Hello K7AAY, The Intel® Server Board S1200SPLR does not come with integrated graphics; however, the Intel® Xeon® Processor E3-1275 v6 does come with integrated graphics. The system does come with VGA adapter Now, upon checking the list of supported operating systems for the Intel® Server Board S1200SPLR on this site: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000017643/server-products/server-boards.html Fedora 28 Workstation has not been validated for this serverboard, have you tried installing a validate operating system in order to check if you get the same error? Does the video graphics adapter in the Xeon previously mentioned include or emulate a Matrox video adapter? This board was selected by a customer who also specified the Fedora 28 Server. I have replicated the issue on Red Hat 7.5,which you show as supported.

Hello K7AAY, The processor does come with integrated graphics and also the board has integrated graphics via the BMC ( baseboard management controller) that is where the system emulates the Matrox video adapter. Solved it by replacing 'quiet' with 'mgag200.modeset=0' in GRUB2.
