After upgrading my laptop's BIOS, I can no longer change the refresh rate to 40 Hz (60 Hz is the only available option). Have tried to use CustomModeApp.exe, but it ends with an error: "The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity". What can be done about it?
I need to set it to 1920x1080 at 40 Hz. Now it is set at 1920x1080 60 Hz and causes pixel flickering on dark grey colors on the right side of the screen when dimming the brightness below 95%. I used to work around this by lowering the refresh rate to 40 Hz, which is no longer possible.
I have Intel HD 4400 in Win 7 Pro.
Many thanks.
