I recently bought a new laptop mainly to play World of Warcraft while on the move (have to travel quite a bit for work), and picked the Samsung model which was quite recommended (as per its reviews) for gaming.

Here's a rundown of specs from dxDiag.

When I first started playing WoW, the game was running between 80-120 fps at maximum settings, now after doing several system updates, including all drivers/samsung/AV etc...whenever I play WoW it's a hit and miss situation.

The game either runs smoothly like before, or barely goes above 10 fps on lowest graphics settings.

It has become very annoying, and I honestly have no clue what might be causing this. Sometimes reboot solves the issue, other times 10 reboots don't do anything.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Nic and thanks for looking into it but sadly that did not do the trick

For now am thinking of doing a full system restore from the CD that came with it, then go on updating stuff step by step.

But I would really love not to have to do this if it's possible

Just yesterday, while in the middle of the game, I logged out then back in on another character, and the fps jumped back to normal. So am kinda sure it's not related to rebooting the machine. It's really weird,
