I currently have Chipset version 6.1.7601.17514 with Windows 7. I try to update to new version but just says Failed when it gets to Install

I have installed the Intel Driver Update Utility. After Clicking download it seems to download, but will not install. I've tried to do it manually by opening the zip file and going through the set up. It goes through the whole process of "installing" and asks me to restart my computer. I do so, but it never updates my version of the chipset software. Right now I have a 2 monitor set up and my secondary monitor skips and is very slow to react. Thanks!
