Only 2 of my 7 USB2 host controllers are showing up as enhanced in my Windows 7 Device Manager. The remaining 5 are just showng up as universal. They are all definitely USB2. 4 came with my ABIT AB9 Pro board with the Intel 965 / ICH8R chipset. 3 came with my LIANLI case.
I have ran the Intel INF Update Utility (infinst911autol.exe), previously known as the Intel Chipset Device Software.
Does anyone know how I can get these all recognized properly as USB2 host controllers?
This is what it looks like in the Device Manager:
Intel(R) ICH8 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2830
Intel(R) ICH8 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2831

It looks normal to me, this is the way the operating system installs all USB drivers, as you may know USB drivers are provided when you install the operating system.
Check with another machine and see for yourself that it will look similar
