I need to run my SATA drives in AHCI mode while running XP (I want to dual boot with another os which requires AHCI enabled drives and shares the same drive).
The chip on the Gigabyte ga-P35-DS3L motherboard is a ICH9 non raid 2923 1458 B005.
So far I've mananged to get it running by editing and existing AAHCI.inf file changing 2821 to 2923 and making a reg file, but I really need to 'slipstream' the correct driver rather than the hack I currently.
I've searched and searched but to no avail - maybe someone here can give me a bit of direction ?

There are broken posts from previous incarnations of the Communities/Forum site that popped back up because of some sort of bug (I was absolutely inundated with change notifications the other day).
As for the present, anyone who is still running Windows XP needs their head examined (there must be dints from hitting the wall so often).
